While Misty might've had some people convinced with her tough-guy act—Ash knew that's all it was. An act. Deep down, she could be just as weak as anyone. And he also knew she was too stubborn and proud to let it show. There was only a handful of times that Misty'd exposed her vulnerable side. Or rather, couldn't control it... as she clearly couldn't, right now. Because here she was, openly crying for him; wearing her heart on her sleeve for the first time in years.
